Obituary of Kenneth Essar

Life Legacy Kenneth passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 in Green Valley, AZ. He was 84 years old, born in Kalamazoo in 1932. Ken is survived by his wife Evelyn (DeHollander) to whom he was married for 60 years, Wayne and Cathy Peters(Essar), and her two children Rob and Kelsey Roessler. He was preceded in death by his son, Dr. David Essar. Ken was a veteran of the Korean War. After returning from Korea, he worked at Kalamazoo Sheet Metal for 47 years, retiring as vice president. Ken was an avid hobby farmer for several years and was always willing to help relatives and neighbors with his wonderful handyman skills. Ken enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers on television. He would keep the baseball schedule next to him with the AZ time marked in so he would never miss a game . In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Internment will be in Richland Cemetery on a later date. Ken was a wonderful and gracious man and will be missed by many.
