Obituary of Cleveland Peebles

Cleveland Peebles December 4, 1930 – July 11, 2018 Cleveland Peebles, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2018 after a long battle with heart disease. He was born on December 4, 1930 in a small town in Arkansas, and was raised by his loving Grandmother. He married his childhood sweetheart, Maxine Carruth when he was 18 years old, and enlisted in the Army a year later. Together, they had four sons and three daughters. Cleveland enjoyed the outdoors and working out at his favorite gym. He lived life to the fullest, but through simple pleasures. Before his first major heart attack in December 2015, he would get up early in the morning to ride the bus all over Tucson. His first stop was the gym, after that, he enjoyed leisure strolls through many of the parks, and he especially enjoyed Reid Park Zoo. His favorite excursion was visiting Desert Diamond Casino, but his passion was cooking. He loved to bake homemade cakes that were absolutely delicious, and his down home southern cooking was finger-licking good. Cleveland is survived by his sons, James and Gary, and his daughters, Gwendolyn, Debora, and Frederica, and his loving Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews. In loving memory of Cleveland Peebles, his funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11am at Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N.
