Obituary of Joey Bernal

On Thursday, August 9, 2018, Joey Daniel Bernal, Beloved son, grandson, nephew, brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away suddenly at the age of 39. Joey was born in Anchorage, Alaska on November 13, 1978. Joey loved working with his hands. He became a great mechanic. He loved to cook and celebrate his creations with the family. He was a gifted artist who painted and sketched from the heart. Joey had battled and overcame his afflictions in his life. He loved his daughter so much. We are very blessed to have received 39 years of memories that we will treasure and keep safe deep in our hearts. As Joey would say in his own words and written letters; "This is the day our Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it" Psalm 118:24. To Joey this verse meant that each day is a precious gift from God, with new grace and opportunities. He will be deeply missed.
