Obituary of Jacob Leibfried
Little Jacob Leibfried came into this world a fighter. Born at 29 weeks gestation on March 20, 2018. He lived to be one day short of six months old, passing on Sunday, September 9, 2018.
Jacob spent his first two months in the NICU at Northwest Hospital where he learned the ropes breathing, eating, and keeping up his temperature.
He favored his toucan on his baby swing, and disliked the frog which made him cry. He loved his bananas, waffle ball, and the puppets at MyGym. He absolutely loved his mother Jessica, sisters, brothers, Nani, Big Mama, Nana, Papa Manuel, Papa Raul, Tia, and his many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Most of all, Jacob loved his daddy, Ronnie. The love between those two was a love that was so deep and so precious. Jacob was always so mesmerized by his daddy. He looked at him adoringly over anyone in the room. All Ronnie would have to do is say "hi" and it would set Jacob off with laughter.
Before Jacob was born, Ronnie would promise, "This baby is going to change the world." Although Jacob's life was short, he definitely changed the world. He changed our world. We are forever grateful for the time we spent with him and the many hearts Jacob touched. The promise never fell short.
