Obituary of Un Pak

Un Hae was born on March 6th, 1955, to Chang Suk Pak and Shin Hee (Kang) in Wonju City, South Korea. She was the youngest of seven children. In her early twenties she married an American soldier and moved to the United States. In 1979 she became the mother of twin sons, James and Leonard Przybylski. Un then attended culinary school and won many awards for her accomplishments. She worked for several years at La Paloma in Tucson, Az, as well as Canyon Ranch, Miraval, and Green Valley Country Club. Un returned to college in the 1990's and graduated with a degree in Dietary Science from the University of Arizona in 2002, and achieved a masters degree from Southern Illinois University in 2004. She went on to work in several hospitals around the southwest including the Navajo reservation in Tuba City, Az. Un spent the last two years of her life working as a dietitian on the Nellis Airforce Base in Las Vegas, NV. She enjoyed walking, hiking, camping, reading, cooking, doting on her granddaughters, and bringing joy to those around her. Un is survived by her two sons, James and Leonard Przybylski, her daughter-in-law, Andrea, and her two granddaughters, Ashley (9) and Leilia (4). She is preceded in death by both of her parents and two sisters, Myung Hae and Yong Hae. In the last year of her life, Un expressed faith in Jesus Christ as Lord of her life and was baptized in April of this year. Her final days were spent in Tucson, Az, in the home of her son Leonard, surrounded by family and friends.
