Obituary of Richard Sabad

Richard "Dick" Sabad ,74 passed away on Wednesday, June 22nd at Santa Catalina Villas in Tucson Arizona after ongoing complications from several strokes. Dick was born to Mary and Louis Sabad on March 11, 1937 in Scranton, PA. He was the firstborn of two well loved sons in the Sabad family. He graduated from Technical High School in Scranton, and soon married his High School Sweetheart, Alice Shevak in Niagara Falls, NY. They had two girls, Cindy and Tammy. He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Coral Sea and then in the United States Air Force.Retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. Dick was a kind-hearted person and quickly found a friend in everyone he met. He loved his family and friends, traveling and rv'ing. In his later days,became quite a "Bingo Fanatic". Had a winning record of 77 games. He is survived by wife Barbara Sabad of Tucson, Daughters Cindy of Aurora CO and Tammy of Parker, CO along with their Mother Alice Sabad of Parker, CO. Sister-in-law Joyce Negvesky of Clarks Summit PA, several Nieces and Nephews across the country and many, many lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Sabad. We loved him dearly, and will always miss "Bear", our "Dear Ol' Dad" . See the service schedule for service dates and times.
