Kenneth Madaus
1937-2019
Kenneth Madaus of Tucson, Arizona passed away on June 26, 2019 at the age of 82. He was known for his generous heart, good sense of humor and always ready to help someone in need.
He was born on March 13, 1937 in Yonkers, New York and is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Madaus, siblings: Kathleen Beauchemin and Leslie Madaus, 2 daughters: Teresa Travis and Debra Traver and 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Ken grew up in Yonkers, New York worked as a welder at Otis Elevator, a truck driver for Coco-Cola and a bus driver for Club Transportation. He married in 1958 and enjoyed 65 years of marriage. He always cared for his family and expressed so much in his bear hugs. He retired in Tucson, AZ after other family members had moved there.
In Tucson he headed the Landscaping Committee for Silverado Homeowners Association, played pool at Udall Recreation Center, delivered Meals on Wheels and was a member of Tucson Street Rod Association and Tucson Model Car Club.
Kenny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who was committed to good works and his family. He was a good story teller. His stories always made us laugh. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy of kindness and humor will remain as treasured memories in the lives of all who knew him.
