Francis Trippe

Obituary of Francis John Trippe

On July 28, 2019, Francis (Frank) J. Trippe went home to Heaven into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born in Jamaica, Queens, NY September 20, 1940, and was raised in Los Angeles, California. Frank joined the Navy when he was 17 years old and served four years in the Construction Battalion, also known as the SeaBees.

He loved working with his hands and learned many skills. When asked what his job title was, one would have to say, "Everything." He was a carpenter, roofer, electrician, plumber, welder, blacksmith, mechanic, landscaper, painter, leather craftsman, and much more. The most important thing about Frank's life is that after moving to Tucson, Arizona, he asked Jesus to be his Savior, and his life was transformed.  He became a Christian who loved to tell others about his Savior, the One who died to pay for our sins and resurrected from the dead, who wants to rescue all, whosoever will come to Jesus.

Frank was a man who would drop whatever he was doing to help someone in need, sharing the message of God's plan of salvation while he repaired their vehicles, stopped their plumbing leaks, etc., demonstrating the love of God that had changed his own heart.

In Heaven Frank was reunited with his parents, John Trippe and Beatrice Brown, as well as many other family members and friends. He is survived by his wife Susan Trippe, son J. Isaac Trippe, grandchildren Spc. Isaiah Trippe (US Army), Diego Trippe and Alicia Trippe; brother George Trippe, nephew Stephen Trippe, nieces Susanna Yates (Russell) and Sara Ellis (Chuck); great niece Julia Berry and great nephew Zach Yates.

Frank is also survived by Michael Arreola, Cheyenne Arreola, Marissa Brooks and Paul Montgomery, their children and grandchildren, whom he considered his own, and by Grace Trippe, J Isaac's mother.

No services are planned. Frank would not be in attendance, he is still dancing and rejoicing with Jesus, and does not want to come back. He is greatly loved and missed; there is an empty place only he could fill. Our hearts are sorely broken but we have the promise of God that as Christians, we will be united with Frank and we look forward to spending eternity with the man we knew and loved.
