Nelson was born and raised in Asan, Guam where he graduated from Ocean View High School.  From there he joined the Navy and served in Bremerton, WA on the U.S.S. Carl Vinson for four years. He knew that while serving our country his true passion was in design. He continued to then receive his bachelor’s degree in fine Arts at the Design Institute of San Diego, CA. After graduating from college he found himself doing what he did best. Designing. He worked for several years in San Diego at various companies to gain more experience. Then he found his dream job. Working at the Veterans Affairs Office in Tucson AZ as an interior designer. Where he was able to give back to his fellow veterans even if it was just creating a place where they were able to feel a sense of color and design.

Although it seems that he was only with us for such a short time, he has left such an impact on all our lives.  He will be remembered as a chatty, out-spoken, funny, loving, caring person that so many loved. He was always willing to give all that he had, even in death. He was able to help three individuals through organ donation.

Nelson will be heading back home to Guam where he will be buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Piti. Services will be posted at a later date.
