Helen was a woman who truly lived in beauty. Not only is her home warm and comforting, accented by her handwork, but her garden of plants and birds reflects her sensitivity and skill with nature and flowers - wild, cultivated, and cut. She beautifully prepared food and offered it with love - from favorite cookies to her experiments with mesquite flour. Her personal appearance was always lovely, her attire always stylish. Always willing to offer tea or to lunch with friends in gardens (Tucson Botanical and Tohono Chul, her favorites), she often shared her thoughts about current issues or suggested books she was reading in her reading nook by the window. Her independent spirit and survivor-attitude gave courage to our breast cancer support group. A friend for nearly 30 years, she has a beautiful home in my heart. ~Betty Creath
