Obituary of Philip Daniel Wagman

  PHILIP DANIEL WAGMAN

Born May 19,1952 to John Webster Wagman and Joan Margaret Toby Wagman in Tucson Arizona. Phil passed away June 9, 2020 at home in Tucson. He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother Neil. Phil graduated from Salpointe High School in 1970 and followed his parents two brothers and one sisters path and joined the Navy. He was proud to have once sailed on the USS Oriskany. He returned to Tucson after his military service and attended Pima College.  He proudly worked at TMC for 28 years in the IT department.  He considered TMC his family and made many long lasting friendships.  He was a Brownie and Girl scout leader. The girls who are now grown up still giggle about their sleep over at the Reid Park zoo and being woken up during the night by a loud growling animal...just Phil snoring in his tent. Phil also was a proud Bountiful Basket and World Care volunteer  Most of all he was an avid U of A football, Patriot and RedSox fan. Weekend family basketball games in the pool with his children and grandchildren was his favorite.  Phil was a hummingbird whisperer and a  gentle giant who had the best hugs. He leaves behind his loving wife Penelope,  daughter Danielle (Eric) Shrofe,  son Eliot.  daughter in law Stacy(Jack)Anderson, Grandchildren Kaylee (Jacob) Cordova,  Eric Shrofe, and Mary. His twin brother Sam (Carmen),  brothers Bob and  John,  sisters Tina,  Lisa and  Cindy(Rick) Ashenbrener. Many nieces  and nephews.  Phil favorite saying was that he "was a middle child and likes attention" and there will be a memorial party when Covid-19 allows safe travel and gatherings.  Phil's interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.

Please share your memories of Phil, these will be read aloud during his memorial service.  Thank you all for your friendship, support and prayers during Phil's last 5 months in hospitals. He fought a hard fight and now his Journey in Heaven has just begun.
