Obituary of Thomas John Trestik

Thomas J. Trestik, 70, passed away on December 15, 2020.  He was born in Elgin and raised in Barrington IL.  After serving two tours of duty in Vietnam where he was a recipient of the Bronze Star, his military service with the Army was followed by a stint in the Navy as a crew member aboard the USS JFK.  Tom resided in Tucson AZ where he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, hiking, and exploring the deserts and mountains.  He was a lifelong baseball fan.  Cherished son of Frank and Patricia.  Loving father of Lisa (Scott), Serena, Ray and Dylan.  Proud grandfather of Jimmy, Owen, Ethan, Mya and Olive.  Beloved big brother of Christine, Larry, Ted (Judy), David, Paula (Michael) and Jenny.   Treasured uncle of Billy (Megan), Teddy (Alexandra), Dustin, Tyler, Angela, Ben, Patricia, Tara and Charlie.  Preceded in death by his mother Patricia, his brother Larry, and the mother of his children Susan.  He leaves behind many other relatives and friends.  Tommy will be deeply missed.  A veterans’ service to honor him and celebrate his life will be held at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery - Marana on March 26, 2021 in Tucson
