Obituary of Elaine Louise Salazar

On the early morning of Tuesday, January 26, 2021, our beautiful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and cousin Elaine Louise Salazar was called home to be with the Lord at the young age of 62.

  Elaine, one of six children, was born in Los Angeles, California on February 19, 1958 to parents Eva and Gilbert Salazar. She was the fourth child and the youngest daughter.

  Elaine was a proud Garfield High School alumna class of 1976. After starting a family, she later went on to pursue a career in the medical field by attending Pima Medical Institute to become a medical assistant. Elaine chose to continue her path of caring for others by also obtaining her caregiver certification to assist in caring for the elderly and went on to touch many lives throughout her years of end-of-life care for many, passing her knowledge and respect for the care of the elderly onto her daughters.

  Elaine was a proud mother and grandmother who shared her great love for music with her children. She loved listening and dancing to music and had a great artistic creative side and enjoyed decorating and window painting with her children during the holidays and found great joy in watching her grandchildren perform with their artistic abilities in art as well as music. She also loved the snow so it was only fitting that on the day she left us, she brought us snow on her way home. She is loved so much and will be deeply missed by so many who will keep her memory alive in all of her traditions and teachings passed down to her children.

  Elaine is survived by her seven children Monic, Anthony, Valerie, Daniel, Joanna, Elaina, Celina, her nineteen grandchildren Desiree, Jay Scott, Naiyah, Alyssa, Jaden, Ava, Krystina, Mylee, Maddie, Jasmine, Julian, Liliana, Dominic, Sergio, Santiago, Diego, Genesis, Ariza and An'jel, one great grandchild Derek, her life partner Daniel Laguna, her mother Eva Salazar, her siblings Larry, Debbie, Lucille, Marco, Eric, aunts Lola, Stella, nieces, nephews and many cousins.   

  Elaine was preceded in death by her daughter Lizette, father Gilbert, great grandmother Mauricia, grandmother Josefa, grandfather Ralph, uncle Tony and aunts Ruth, Natalie and Lucy.
