Refugio Villa

Obituary of Refugio Marquez Villa

Refugio Marquez Villa (Cuco), 83, born in Tucson on July 4, 1938, passed away at home on September 22, 2021.

He lived in California for some time, returning back to Tucson in the 1970s. Cuco was a loving husband and father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Having worked at many occupations, his favorite work were the things he accomplished at home. He loved getting the family together to have a fun time, especially on the 4th of July.

He loved the holidays and putting up the decorations at Christmas, especially the nativity. Cuco loved camping, long road trips and experiencing new places.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Antonio Villa and Matilda Marquez Villa; daughters, Adelina Gonzales, Yvonne Villa-Wisely (Mark); sisters, Jovita Duarte, Mary Villa Federico (Licha); brothers, Tony Villa (Frances), Mike Villa (Eleanor), Julian Villa, Francisco Villa and Manuel Villa.

He is survived by his wife Rita Villa; daughters, Arlene Villa and Lori Arenas; sons, Refugio Villa (Pelon) and Richard Villa; step-sons, Shane Lourenco and Eddie Lourenco; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We will miss his sense of humor, bright smile and loving hugs!

Your work is done here, Refugio.
