I am so sorry to hear of my dear aunt's passing. I am certain my uncle Denny and my brother Kevin were waiting for her. She and Kevin communicated via snail mail after he moved to Arizona. While Kevin was on hospice, he had me mail her a letter to tell her how lucky he had been and how he wouldn't change a thing but didn't indicate he was on hospice. He loved her.
As for me, I spent many times as a kid at her home and I particularly remember south Fargo when her sister Lois would visit. I remember Joan teaching me how to make date filled cookies. Mmmm. I also shared a moment with her when her daughter Barbie was born and I brought my newborn son, Derek, to visit as well.
So many memories from childhood and beyond. Thank you, Joan. I love you.
Your niece, Annette
