Elsie Janette Haworth

Elsie Janette Haworth, age 86, passed away in Tucson, Arizona on February 28th, after battling cardiovascular disease. Jan was born in Los Angeles in 1935, followed by 2 younger brothers. She graduated from Burbank High School, followed by marriage and travels throughout the U.S. Three daughters and her love of gardening and sewing kept her busy along with regional activities.

Her hobbies included doll collecting and making gorgeous quilts. She attended many doll shows with her mother Mary Dow, continuing after her mother's passing. Her quilting skills were extraordinary, and she blessed her entire family and friends with beautiful works of art. Jan was a lover of cats, bunnies, turtles, and teddy bears. This love as well as our requests provided subjects for the creation of her quilting masterpieces.

Jan is survived by her brother Robert Dow; daughters Laura Flynn, Debra Flynn, and Nanette Bird; stepson Russell Haworth; stepdaughter Deloris Porter and by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren--she loved them all.
