Obituary of Paz A Diaz

Paz Arinda Dañobeitia was born on September 28, 1945 in Santiago, Chile. She peacefully passed away April 11, 2022 in Tucson, Arizona, her home of 41 years. Born to Alfonso Bernabe Dañobeitia and Rosa Elena “Nena” Rojas, her beloved brother Bernabe Alfonso “Poncho” Dañobeitia. She would go on to receive her degree in Clothes Design at Duocuc Universidad Catolica in her native Chile.

On September 26, 1966 she married Ricardo Eugenio Diaz, her husband of an incredible 55 years until his passing. She was an amazing and wonderful mother to her three children Claudia, Paula, and Daniel, they would then decide to move to the United States in 1979 in pursuit of the American dream, for a better life for her children. She sacrificed her own dreams so that her children would have a chance to succeed.

Her beautiful smile and sense of humor always brightened up any room, and everyone’s spirits in her presence. An amazing cook of Chilean cuisine, there wasn’t anything she couldn’t make. She loved traveling and gardening, and was an animal lover. Her greatest gift was her love for her 5 beautiful grandchildren, children, husband, family and friends.

We are saddened of your sudden loss, but will always take your love, teachings, compassion in our hearts forever. You will be missed, but absolutely never forgotten. Your legacy will live on through your children, grandchildren, and someday theirs.

She is survived by her two children Paula and Daniel, Cristobal (son in law), Rebecca (daughter in law), and her grandchildren Andres, Gabriel, Emma, Diego and Daniel.
