Obituary of Nathan Phillip James Callahan

Nathan Phillip-James Callahan died in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 26, 2022, in a senseless act of gun violence. He was just 18 years old.

Born January 23, 2004, in Tucson, AZ to beloved parents Eugene and Jeanne; Nathan completed their family of 4. Nathan was a beautiful blonde hair, blue eyed baby boy that stole the hearts of everyone who knew him. Growing up, Nathan spent his years between Tucson and Cape Cod, which shaped the boy and young man he would become. As a young boy, Nathan loved to build things, play in the dirt, spend time outside camping & keep family and friends on their toes with his mischievous ways. As a teenager, he evolved his love of these things into fixing up his pride and joy Suburban, rebuilding engines, getting dirty to make his hard work a reality and continuing to be mischievous! Nathan fit in with any crowd because of his eclectic taste in music; his kind, welcoming vibe, quick wit, and inappropriate humor.

Although Nathan was wonderful in so many ways, his love for his family is the most important. Nathan loved spending time with his large extended family, and he cherished them. He was happiest working side by side with his dad, Uncle, Cousins, and Bonus-Brother. He adored spending time with his baby cousins, playing Legos, riding skateboards and wrestling. He spent hours in deep conversation with his sister and even more hours annoying her! Even on dark days, he was always the Sunshine to his mom; a constant reminder that there were better days ahead. If you were one of the lucky ones to receive one of his hugs, you know that his love radiated through him, straight to your heart.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Eugene & Jeanne Callahan; his sister, Sophia Callahan; his bonus brother, Romeo Irey; His Maternal Nonnie, Mary Jo Mastrianna; His Maternal Grandfather and his wife, Ralph and Jackie Mastrianna; His Paternal Grandmother, Georgia Callahan; many Aunties, Uncles, and Cousins; many lifelong friends; and his best boy Jack.
