Obituary of Martin Levy

MARTIN (MARTY) LEVY

APRIL 26, 1945 – SEPTEMBER 9, 2022

We are very sorry to report the death of Marty Levy on September 9th due to complications following open heart surgery.

For Marty, family was the most important thing. He was an excellent husband, father, and grandfather. He was many things to many people and touched so many lives. Marty was a good man who would do anything for anyone, all they had to do was ask and he'd be there without hesitation. As a devoted family man, he never grew tired of keeping family close. He thoroughly enjoyed staying in touch with his cousins, nieces, nephew, and favorite sister-in-law as often as possible.

Though a true Brooklynite, Marty moved his family to Tucson in 1983. Marty loved visiting Las Vegas; he found it relaxing. He enjoyed only having to think about where to eat and decide which machine to play. Being able to see relatives and spend time with them made these trips extra memorable. He started going there in 1990 and took up “residency” at NYNY when they opened. He enjoyed both the atmosphere and Greenberg’s Deli.

Marty is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marion, his daughter, Randi (Dave), and his grandsons, Cody Scott and Marcus Dominic. His son, Scott Charles Levy, preceded him in death in 1990. Marty will be deeply missed and will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please contribute to your favorite charity.
