Joyce Feese

Obituary of Joyce Eileen Feese

Joyce was born on November 28th, 1937 in a small town in Nebraska - Bayard. She is an only child. Her father only spoke Russian. There was a large population relocating in this valley by Bayard with Russian heritage and her parents were both immigrants from Russia, so they bought a small farm there.

Mom graduated from Bayard High School and was married shortly after to Calvin E. Worth. They had 4 beautiful children. Douglas E. Worth, Cindy L. Benger (Worth), Sherry L May (Worth) and Pamela E Loeb (Worth).

Our family moved around a bit and ended up purchasing a home in Alliance, NE, once we started school. Dad traveled quite a bit, so mom was a full-time mother and she was amazing!

She made the most fabulous homemade cinnamon rolls, cabbage burgers, and other delicious baked goods. She enjoyed cooking and being a housewife. Mom felt school was important and she always took us to the library to check out books. She was a voracious reader and an intelligent woman.

I still remember Mom dressing up to attend our Parent-Teacher conferences as she wanted to make sure we were successful as students.

She was involved with Jaycee's in Alliance and attended social events and community fundraisers for things in the little city. Mom was a Co-Leader for Camp Fire Girl troops for her girls and was involved in our activities.

She was divorced in 1975. A few years later she met John A. Feese and they were married in Alliance and shortly after moved back to Bayard, NE, where they bought a home together. The family grew with two additional kids, Shaun Clark (Feese) and Steven Feese.

She and John were active golfers and spent a lot of time playing the new course in Bayard. They socialized with friends and had a lot of fun as we were all off on our own by then.

Once John retired from the Railroad, where he worked in Alliance, NE, they chose to live part time in New Mexico and really loved the warm temperatures. After being "Snowbirds" for a few years they decided it would be nice to permanently relocate to a warmer climate.

They loved Green Valley, AZ and bought a lovely home. Mom loved to travel and we took her on many fun trips. Mom and John have always been involved with their grandkids and now a great grandson, Beckett who is 4; with another great grandson arriving in November. She is loved so very much.
