Obituary of Filomeno Calderon Butierez
Filomeno C Butierez, 76, passed on December 29, 2022. Fil was predeceased by his parents, Filomeno and Ramona, his brother, Joe Butierez and his sister, Lilly Chavez. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennie Benavidez, stepson, John Benavidez, and his sons, Filomeno, George and Steve Butierez. He is also survived by his sisters, Ordelia Peru and Gomesinda Tartaglia and brothers Angel, Eddie, John Butierez and George Chavez. He also had many nephews, nieces and cousins that he built meaningful, lasting relationships with.
He was an avid hunter, excellent bowhunter, and loved camping, hiking, and fishing in our beautiful White Mtns. Especially when he could take along Chacha, his most loyal companion.
He always wanted to go on long road trips, listening to recorded tape cassettes or CDs and we loved dancing to country or Mexican music.
And let’s not forget to mention his love for fixing things, MacGyvering things whenever possible, and of course his 1950 Chevy truck he beautifully restored.
His humor and huge smile will forever be missed.
Rest in peace and pain-free my honey. You have left a void in my heart and life.
Service will be January 19th at Sacred Heart Church 601 E. Ft. Lowell (NW corner: 1st and Ft. Lowell) at 11 a.m. with a reception following at The Outlaw Bar & Grill 1302 W. Roger Rd (Roger and Flowing Wells).
