Obituary of Teresa Gail Badgett

Teresa Gail Badgett, who resided in Tucson, Arizona, passed away in her home on July 4th, 2023.

Teresa was born Teresa Gail Jenkins on October 2, 1961, in Rantoul, Illinois to parents Lillie Mae West (Edwards) and Andrew Jenkins. Terry and her siblings in order of birth are Kathy, Drew, Karl, Karen (passed at 2 days old), Terry, Bobby, and Missy. Teresa’s brother, Karl, died at a young age. She spoke of him often and referred to him as her very best friend. Later Terry and her siblings gained a stepdad, Chuck Edwards.

Teresa married Bill Badgett in 1980 and became a stepmom to Jason and Joey Badgett. Teresa and Bill also had two children of their own; Joshua Buck Badgett and Tabitha Danielle Badgett (Rineer). Teresa and Bill later separated.

Teresa later met Scott Dingwall and they had two children together. Zuri Mae Dingwall (Gonzales) and Ruby Ann Dingwall.  Teresa and Scott later separated.

Teresa later began her relationship with her long-time partner David Iverson. They had a dog named Oscar that Teresa loved unconditionally. They lived together at the time of Teresa’s passing.

Teresa is also survived by her grandchildren; Angel Badgett, Hailey Rineer, Izaiah Gonzalez, Ezra Gonzalez, Azani Gonzalez, Jason Bonkowske, Brayden Bonkowske, Dakota Badgett, and Hudson Badgett. As well as Romèo Acuña, her great-grandchild.

Teresa worked most of her life as a waitress. She worked very fast, was very friendly and personable, and could hold many plates and glasses in her arms and hands; she did not like using a tray. She introduced herself to her customers as “Marvelous”.

Teresa loved plants, nature, and animals and once built a pond in her backyard. All of her plants had names and she spoke to them as if they were her children. She could be described as a biker, she loved riding motorcycles, and as a hippie. She was also very artistic and loved to write and draw; but she called it doodling.

Teresa’s wishes were to be cremated and to not have a funeral service. We are celebrating her life and memories of her in other small ways in our lives. She is and always will be missed.

Funding for Teresa’s final arrangements were provided by Ruby Dingwall, her youngest daughter.

“The miles between us are nothing because you are always in my heart. The echo of your laughter brightens my life.”
