Obituary of Yolanda Ann Hernandez

Yolanda Ann “Yoly” Hernandez was born in Tucson, Arizona on April 29, 1959 to Carlos and Alicia Durazo Rodriguez. She was called home on Tuesday July 27, 2021.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Hernandez of over 45 years; their children, Angelina, Savanna and Francisco. Yolanda was blessed with ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a very loving and caring soul who touched many lives.

We will miss our weekly family gatherings playing dominoes, rummy and dice, which were her favorite family games.

Her smile, laugh and jokes always made you feel good. Seeing her big, beautiful green eyes just mesmerized you.

Her grandchildren will miss her kisses, loving words, coloring with them, playing games with them and the great big grandma bear hugs that she used to love to give and receive. Her memory will live on forever!

Her husband and children promise to keep gathering in her honor and will always stay together and take care of each other. We will truly miss you mom, but we will never forget you! Until we meet in heaven, rest in peace mom.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 9, 2021, from Noon to 3 p.m. at Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 North Tucson Boulevard, in Tucson. A Funeral Liturgy will be at 3 p.m., with Fr. Mario “Ricky” Ordonez officiating. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 North Oracle Road, in Tucson.

A celebration of Yolanda’s life will be from 1:15 to 5 p.m. at Kettle Restaurant, 748 West Starr Pass Boulevard in Tucson, following the interment. Feel free to bring your favorite dish and we will provide the rest.
