Marty was my cousin. He was 24 days younger than me and got the biggest kick out of always saying he was the younger of us. His dad and mine were brothers. The closest you can ever imagine they did everything together business partners golfing partners and it all walks of life so therefore we grew up together as a family of eight instead of four. We kept in touch which was always a bright spot for both of us Marty was a gentle Sweet soul who I will miss deeply. You are always in my heart and thoughts rip cuz

My wife Ramona and I were welcomed into Marty and Marion's home many times when our children were young in the late 1980s. Marty invariably treated us to a delicious barbeque. Marty was a perfect, welcoming host. His kindness meant a lot to us and to our children as we got settled in the new city of Tucson. -- As I read Marty's obituary, I was impressed that he continued to be the dedicated family man that we knew way back then. There can be no greater tribute.

Marty was pure kindness, same as his dear wife, Marion. Our lives overlapped for only about four years from 1988-1992, but Marty and Marion became dear friends. We will never forget the wonderful hamburgers and fun in the pool when we were invited over. Marty made a mean hamburger! There are some people who are so good and genuine that you can honestly say “they are without guile.” That’s Marty and Marion. I’m sure it hurts, even in the midst of the gratitude I know you feel for the 54 wonderful years together. We love you and we are so sorry for your loss, Marion.

Marty was a wonderful person. I meant Marty when I worked with his wife at the business college. When I would see him he would always ask me how I was doing and when I started to see John, he would talk to John like he knew him for years. My heart goes out to the family.
