Obituary of Maxine Jackson

JACKSON, MAXINE M. Maxine Jackson, nee Benefiel, age 90, passed away on June 30, 2013, at the Life Care Center of Tucson from the effects of a stroke. Her cherished husband, Guerdon Jackson, died in 1999. The Jacksons lived where mining engineering took them including Australia, Peru, and the U.S. Her greatest joy was in entertaining at home. She even kept index cards for every party she had for the last 50 years. Born in Newton, Illinois, she was a florist in Tucson. Twin sister Geraldine F. Vrechek, brother Swick Benefiel and her first husband Pierre LeDoux predeceased her. She is survived by her aunt, Roseanne Hall; cousin, John Schuster; and nephews and nieces: George, Paul and Jean Vrechek, Gayle Jackson Hight, and Deborah Perry Gibbons.
