Obituary of Caroline Challenger

CHALLENGER, Caroline E., January 17, 1920 - September 20, 2013 Born in Johnstown, PA and moved to Rochester, NY in 1939 with her husband, Jack to start a family. Caroline worked 26 years at Bausch and Lomb before retiring in 1981. She moved to Tucson in 1984 to be close to her family. Caroline loved to travel and visit with friends and family. She could always strike up a good card game and treasured playing Bingo and Keno while enjoying a trip to the casino. Her greatest joys were with her children, grandchildren and eventually her great-grandchildren. Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her sons, James and Terry Challenger and daughter, Jacqueline Stopani. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Challenger; son-in-law, David Stopani; grandchildren, Allan and Alicia Conger, Charles Challenger and Chuck and Brenda Stopani; niece, Georgia Kott; great-nephews, Anthony and Douglas Kott and numerous great-grandchildren and lifelong friends. The Challenger, Kott and Stopani families would like to extend our love and admiration to Barbara for all the love, care and devotion in the great care you gave to Caroline, you are truly blessed. Spreading of the ashes ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2013.
