Obituary of Robert Macke

Robert L. Macke, 69, Whetstone resident, passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at TMC Hospice in Tucson from cancer. He was born on June 10, 1944 in Ann Arbor, Mich. Robert was a “bad-ass gunslinger and great family man.” He had retired from the U.S. Marines as a staff sergeant. He also was a long time member of SASS and the First Christian Church in Sierra Vista. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, four children, two stepchildren, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren He was cremated at Angel Valley Funeral Home, Tucson, and will have military service at Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev., at a later date.
