Obituary of George Naber

George J. Naber passed away June 8, 2014 at age 95. He was born in Spring Prairie, Wisconsin and was a Tucson resident since 1947. George served as an artillery officer in the army during WWII. After the war he remained in the Army Reserves and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. George was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, of 54 years. George is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, daughter, Nancy (Joe) Recchio, son, James (Janie) Naber, step daughters Mary (Ken) Stewart, Shelly Recchio, Angela (Dennis) Carswell, Jennifer (Mike) Walsten, and step-sons Bruce (Julie), John (Beth), and Michael (Carolyn) Chastain. George is also survived by grandchildren Vanessa (Jim) Canupp, Christopher (Jennifer) Naber, David (Kimbra) Naber and 11 great grandchildren. George was an eternal optimist, loved to read, and was a great history enthusiast. He was loved and will be missed by many.
