Obituary of Marie Cornelius

Marie Luz Cornelius passed to a better place Sept. 4th Born 10-30-17 in Imuris, Sonora. Her favorite pass time was dancing with her husband of 67 yrs. Harry L. Cornelius Sr. He preceded her in death along with their oldest son Harry Jr., 3 brothers, & 2 sisters. Survived by three sons Richard (Rosie), Donald (Peggy) and John Mark, 8 grandchildren: Tiffany, Todd, Brad, Elizabeth, Daniel, Russ, & Daniel, plus 10 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Raised in Tucson Marie Was active in the community, a state tennis champion, excelling at softball and golf. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and all of U of A sports. She worked at the Jewel Box and Fields Jewelers downtown until her retirement. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and loved her. Funeral Service will be at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 3201 N. Presidio, Tucson, Monday September 8, 2014, Visitation 9:00 a.m. Rosary 9:30 a.m. and mass at 10:00 a.m. Concluding service interment will be at Hope Cemetery.
