Obituary of Joyce Choate

Joyce Choate of Tucson Arizona died on October 14, 2014 at Peppi's House Hospice. She was 70 yrs old. She was born on August 31, 1944 in Huntington Indiana, to parents Ed and Mildred Sunderman. She attended Catalina High School. She graduated from the University of Reno and acquired her Masters degree of Arts in Special Education and Rehabilitation from the University of Arizona. In 1976, She married John Choate in Queensland, Australia; and together they had 2 children Lisa and Jim. She worked as the Director of Marriage Guidance, a school counsellor, rehabilitation in Tasmania, Australia and she finished her career as Region II Program Manager Rehabilitation Services Administration in Tucson, Arizona. Joyce was survived by her husband John, Children Lisa and Jim, grandchildren Casey, Jasmine and Jocelyn and Brother David Sunderman. Joyce was very caring and adventurous, she enjoyed crafts, outdoors, travel, dance and her grandchildren Casey, Jasmine and Jocelyn. Memorial service will be held at Streams in the desert, Lutheran Church, 5360 E Pima St Tucson, Az. On October 23, 2014 at 3:00 PM.
