Obituary of John Lundberg

John Albert Lundberg, Sr. October 21, 1929 – November 25, 2014 John was raised in Arlington, VA and graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Engineering. He served in the Korean War as an Army First lieutenant and later attended graduate school at the University of Arizona under the G.I. Bill. During the late 1950’s and early 1960’s he worked for Arizona Testing Labs, Engineer’s Testing Labs, and San Xavier Rock and Sand doing structural analysis on various construction projects, including the Titan Missile Silos. In the mid 1960’s he became a Registered Professional Civil Engineer, a Registered Land Surveyor and began his 25 year career with the City of Tucson‘s Engineering Department. John was predeceased by his first wife Iris and his second wife Carolyn. He is survived by his children Jack (Regina), James, Clif (Laurie), Casey (Perry), daughter-in-law Maria and six grandchildren. My Dad was a truly warm, enthusiastic man who loved flying, reading and, most of all, being surrounded by people. He was a wonderful gifted teacher to those who listened. Ad Astra, Pater.
