Obituary of Carol Burks

CAROL JEAN BURKS Born Feb 28, 1950 in Erie, Pennsylvania and passed away on Dec 4, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. Proceeded in death by her parents Charles Erickson and Mary (Krupp) Erickson, her brother Charles, and Sister Cheryl. She is survived by her husband Don; their children Chris and Michelle and granddaughter Ariana; her brother Chris Erickson and wife Linda; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School in Erie, Pennsylvania and a graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing. She spent her over 40 years of nursing in many capacities including becoming a Nurse Practitioner, and then went into medical management, most recently with The University of Arizona Health plans. She met her soul mate in Riverside, California in 1979 and they married in 1982. They spent their 32 years of marriage in various locations both in the US and overseas. A visitation will be held in the Chapel of Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd. Tucson, Arizona on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 1 -3 PM.
