Obituary of Jaroslav Zemcik

Jaroslav “Jerry” Zemcik Passed away May 18, 2015 Jerry was born August 29, 1930 in Little Falls, N.Y. He spent his early career in the Army and played semi-pro baseball before moving to Tucson in the mid 1950’s. He then spent the rest of his career working at Hughes Aircraft as a plant protection officer, fire firefighter and EMT. He loved hunting, fishing, and being with his family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice; daughter Lynda Kreps of Alaska; grandson and wife Robert and Sandy Kreps, and great-grandchildren Eddie and Katelyn of Texas; grandson William Kreps and girlfriend Jenn Kenison, and her daughter Jade of Alaska. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Martin and Mary Zemcik and their children Sharon, Marty Jr., Mary, and Michael of Florida, Illinois and Colorado; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N Tucson Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716, on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. A Celebration Lunch will be held at Holy Resurrection Church in the St. Paul Building at 5910 E 5th St in Tucson following the interment at the cemetery.
