Arthur Lambert

Obituary of Arthur Lambert

We are so sad to say goodbye to Arthur Turgon Lambert who passed away on July 28th, 2015 at the age of 69 from complications related to liver surgery. He was born July 11th 1946 in Rochester, New York. Art joined the Marines in 1965 and spent the next two years in Viet Nam fighting for his country. Upon his discharge from the service, he was unsure of the career path that he wanted to pursue. His work history was colorful and varied, and included working in the Arizona copper mines, property management for three large apartment complexes, management of a condominium complex, and owning a bail bonds business in Phoenix, Yuma and Tucson. From these jobs, he gained extensive management and people skills and decided to pursue a career in real estate. Art attained his real estate license in 1983 and became a broker in 1986. He established his own company, “La Corona de Tucson Realty” at that time which grew over the next 25 years to four offices throughout Arizona with over 100 sales agents. In August 2010, he decided to merge his company with Keller Williams Southern Arizona which he felt was one of his best decisions. He was a certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and he was certified by the Department of Real Estate to teach real estate in Arizona as well. Art credits his parents with teaching him the “meaning of respect and living a life comprised of truth, honesty, and a high level of integrity that’s above reproach”. He felt that the instillation of these values in him are what made him the person that he was, and those who had the good fortune to know Art would agree with that. Art describes his early years as blissful as the oldest boy with 3 younger sisters, but health issues with both of his parents necessitated the relocation to Phoenix when he was only 10 and his first job with a paper route to contribute to family finances. He faced much adversity in his life, but never lost his optimism and love of life. Art never met a stranger, and touched the lives of many people with his genuine caring, his belief in them, and his warm smile. In short, Art faced his final challenge in a heroic and dignified manner, caring about others even in that final hour. He is survived by his wife Rochelle; son William (April) Lambert and two granddaughters (Kentucky); stepdaughters Megan and Kathryn Soles (Tucson); granddaughter Lily; sister Nan (Phoenix); cousin John (Phoenix); Aunt Skip (Phoenix); and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Stan Lambert and his two sisters, Sue and Tina.
