Obituary of Billy Jones

Billy G. Jones, 84 of Tucson, Arizona. Went to meet his Lord, February 26, 2016. Bill was born on June 13, 1931 to Herod and Maude Jones of Franklin, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, and eight brothers and sisters. Bill owned a Pepperidge Farm cookie business in Indianapolis, Indiana. God spoke to his heart about the Indians of Arizona in 1977. He was serving the Lord, staying busy visiting, teaching children, but felt God wanted him to step out and do more. He felt he was not worthy to be a missionary. He stepped out by faith, sold his home, business and left to serve with the San Carlos Apache in 1979. Eight years later he moved to Tucson working with the Tohono O'Odham Indians and Faith Baptist Mission. He never looked back, with extreme heart problems, he used his mechanical abilities, at the Mission, visiting on the Reservation and just loving and leading many to His Lord. God richly blessed Bill and Joyce (law) Jones, married March 18, 1956 with eight children, Sherman, Mike, Ricky, Steve, Billy, Dorothea, Georgina, and Diana. Twenty eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. We will all will miss him, his wish is that, 3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
