Obituary of Richard Tully

Richard Napoleon Tully passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 6, 2016 at the age of 94. A lifelong Tucsonan, Richard was born July 17, 1921, as part of the fourth generation of the pioneer Tully family. A World War II veteran, he worked for many years as a salesman, including at Reuben Gold's and Sears. He spent his last years active in the Atria Bell Court Gardens retirement community. A loving father and husband, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Cleo Dawn. Richard is survived by a son, Philip Tully (Judy); four daughters, Pat Tully, Diane Tretschok (Dale), Susan Tully and Linda Erickson (Charles); two sisters, Victoria Hastings and Charlotte Franklin (George); seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. at Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd. Funeral Mass Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 3201 E. Presidio Road. Concluding service and interment at East Lawn Cemetery.
