Obituary of Augusta Saccani

Life Legacy Augusta (Rossi) Saccani, was born in Cignolo Po, Italy on December 14, 1922 and passed away in Tucson, Arizona on March 9, 2016. She was 93 years of age. Augusta is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Enrico, and survived by son, Ernest (Toni) and daughter, Sandra. Augusta immigrated from Milano, Italy in 1955 to join her husband who was already settled and established in Tucson at Saccani’s Department Store. A master seamstress, Augusta became known in the community for her excellent work with fine fashions at Cele Peterson’s. Throughout her life, Augusta was tirelessly devoted to her wonderful family, her home, and her dear friends. Her delicious Italian cooking was always appreciated by those fortunate enough to enjoy it. We will miss her beautiful warm smile and wonderful sense of humor. She is dancing now with her beloved Enrico. “Riposa tranquilla, Mamma, ti vogliamo bene!” There will be a visitation for family and friends on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM then a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N Tucson Blvd, Tucson, Arizona 85716. Everyone is then invited to a luncheon at Lotus Garden to celebrate Augusta's life. Private entombment will be in East Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
