Obituary of Belen Potts

Belén Kay Trillo Potts passed away at Redington Pass, July 2016. Belén was the first child of Cipriano and Sharon Trillo. She was born August 13, 1960. Belén always looked forward to adventure and spent her life seeking exciting and unusual experiences. She and husband William (Bill) Potts had three sons. Together they crossed the US, settling in Arizona. Among Belén’s many adventures was learning several languages; avid history buff; voracious reader of all literature; gardening and cultivating unusual plants; and achieving a linguistics degree from the University of Arizona. Most recently, she worked with the young people at Fred G. Acosta Job Corps. Belén is survived by her sons, John Sebastian, Robert Erin and Ernest Dale, and one grandson, Quintin Erin of Tucson; her father and step mother, Cipriano and Victoria Trillo of Phoenix; and her siblings Amber Costa and Chevera Torrez of Phoenix, Matthew Trillo of Tucson, and Scott Trillo of Flagstaff. Belén’s final adventure will be celebrated at a memorial of life on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 850 N. 11th Ave., Tucson, Arizona 85705. Lunch will follow the memorial service.
