Obituary of Manuel Mello

Manuel Mello (Manny) of Cambridge, Massachusetts, died on Sunday October 23, 2016 at Peppi's house. He was 56. He was born on January 7, 1960 in Cambridge, MA. In 1993 he married Carolyn Mello (Lewis), and together they had 2 children, Manuel Jr. and Isabella. Manny worked in the facilities department at the Pima County Adult Detention Center and his co-workers were friends that he considered family. He received his degree in electrical and was always willing to offer his expertise and skills to family or friends in need. He was a unique soul who was very intelligent; he enjoyed building electrical devices such as a Jacobs ladder or Tesla coil. He was an avid shooter and enjoyed the time he was able to spend on the shooting range. He also enjoyed HAM radio and his call sign was KF7AOM now KF7AOM (SK). He will be greatly missed. Manny is survived by son Manny Jr, his daughter Isabella, his brother Francisco and his ex-wife Carolyn. He was predeceased by his parents Francisco and Julieta (DaSilva) Mello. A memorial service organized by Angel Valley Funeral Home will be held at 2545 N Tucson Boulevard Tucson, AZ 85716 on Saturday October 29, 2016 at 10:00.
