James Carter

Obituary of James Carter

James "Jimmy" Carter born in 1932, died peacefully at home on March 14, 2010 with his wife, Lynn by his side. He is also survived by sons, Val (Las Vegas) and Kim (Dallas) and granddaughters, Kelly and Raylin. He moved to Tucson in 1972 and pursued his passions for golf, running, sailing and his work as an addiction counselor. In his later years, he enjoyed working as a campground host in Colorado. His greatest victories were his 30 year recovery from alcoholism and his faith in Jesus Christ which helped him to graciously endure much suffering during his long battle with cancer and which he shared with as many people as would listen. Donations in his memory can be made to the Salvation Army, Tucson Amphi Corps. Share your memories and condolences at www.angelvalleyfuneralhome.com
