Obituary of Eric Valdez

Eric A Valdez, age 28, went to be with his Dear Lord on March 7, 2018, after a hard struggle with PTSD. Eric is survived by his mother and father, Maria and Joaquin, two sisters, Patty and Monica, one brother, Joaquin, and two brothers in laws, Wayne and Jose. He is also survived by two nephews Mario and Rolando, and four nieces, Destiny, Teddy, Mia and Victoria. He also leaves behind his unborn child. Eric is a veteran of the Afghanistan war, where he earned several medals, including Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Stars, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Metal and many more. He grew up in Tucson, the youngest son of Joaquin Valdez and Maria Valdez. As a child his dream was always to join the military that was his dream. Eric retired from the Army and he loved to fish, play instruments with his nephew and loved to have his family around. He was a family guy that loved his nieces and nephews as his own and loved to just be around people he loved. He was like a big Teddy Bear. Services will be held this Thursday March 15th at 10:00 am at Angel Valley Funeral Home, and there will be concluding service and interment in the Marana's Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Marana, Arizona.
