Obituary of Anna Sutphin

It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Sutphin announces her passing on July 9, 2018, age 95 years. Anna is lovingly remembered by her children Ruth Cole and Susan Cannon, her grandchildren Erin Phillips and Danielle Cannon, great grandson Maxwell Phillips, extended family and dear friends. She is survived by her sister Lilian Zimmerman. Predeceased by former spouse Henry Wood Sutphin, by parents Pauline and Nathan Schonberger, by brothers Morton and Emanuel Schonberger, by sister Clara Stipa. While tiny in stature Anna was big in spirit. Anna was born and raised in Collegeville, PA. Later becoming a long-time resident of Virginia Beach, VA. Anna took pleasure in working with the public, retiring from Bank of America, being active in community organizations taking on leadership roles. Anna enjoyed crafts, reading, news, local events and her beloved cats. Her last year was spent in sunny Tucson, AZ. Her family will celebrate her memory privately. Those wishing to honor her life can make donations in her name to a favored animal shelter or rescue.
