Obituary of Emma Gutierrez

Emma Raquel Gutierrez (known to most as Rachel) was born in Nogales, Arizona on August 20, 1931. She met her husband, Oscar, in Tucson, married in 1958 and moved to Los Angeles, where they raised their two children, Patricia and Edmund. They moved back to Tucson in 1995, where Oscar passed away in 2007. They were married for 49 years. She was active in her church, and until her later years, she loved cooking for family and friends. Whenever she was alone, her beloved family dogs, Pomona and Crush, rarely left her side. She is survived by her two children, Patricia and Edmund, her grandsons, Royce and Wesley, sisters, Ruth, Mimi and Sara, and her brothers, Daniel and Arturo. She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar, her mother, Emigdelia and her brother, Samuel. She died peacefully on the evening of February 10, 2019 in Tucson, with her children and her niece, Daniela, by her side.
