Obituary of Our Mother Mary Valencia

The sweet scent of little angels have taken you home to be with Our Father in Heaven. Our Mother Mary G Valencia (Marucha) Passed Into eternal life on October 8, 2010 She was born and lived her entire life in Tucson Arizona. She was a Riveter during World War II. Mom worked at Sacred Heart Cafeteria to raise money when her children were young so that they would have a good education. She worked for Kruger’s where she later retired from. Nani loved taking her grandchildren to Sir George’s and Furr’s Cafeteria where she was a regular. She would get them there by the Famous Sun Tran Bus. She was a very strong minded person and very lively. She loved baseball and football you would find her in her back yard pitching a few to her grandchildren or sitting on the bleachers at the games shouting out run like the dickens. As soon as she would hear that another baby in the family would be arriving soon, she would take out her knitting needles and knit away. Her greatest affection was for her grandchildren she would do anything for them. She was preceded in death by her husband Felix M. Valencia and her son Gilberto Escandon She is survived by her daughters Pauline Lopez (Albert), MaryAlice Contreras, Linda Angulo (Felix) Phyllis Agraan (Albert) Margie Valencia, Connie Olivas (Mike). Her Sister Alice Dupont and Brother Manny Garcia she has 28 Grandchildren 43 Great Grandchildren and 14 Great Great Grandchildren. She also had lots of nieces and nephews she loved dearly. The funeral mass will be given by Father Mastria Angelo a long time priest and dear friend of the family.
