Obituary of Simone Arnone

Simone Arnone, beloved husband of Bernice Arnone (who recently predeceased him in October 2010) has continued on with his journey to our Heavenly Father, on Friday morning, March 18th, 2011, after suffering a stroke. He was 81 years young, and married for 56 years. Survived by his children; John, Anita, and Kelly (TimothyPatrick), Michele Arnone (daughter-in-law and friend), and Grandchildren; Stephanie, Tiffany, Timothy, Joshua, Gina, Diana, and Mildred. Also survived by his Brother Tony (Marie); and Sister Catherine (Joe). Predeceased by his parents Gaetano and Girolama; and son-in-law, Christopher (Anita). Raised in Highland Park, Michigan, his lengthy career at Michigan Rivet, and later moved with his wife, Bernice (his high school sweetheart) to Tucson, Arizona in 1981. Simon was a very simple man, a joyful, honest, loving, and sensitive soul who always had a good word and smile for everyone. He was a kind man, very considerate, generous, and well mannered, and he was always willing to help someone out any way he could. Simone was a praying man, a believer in Jesus Christ as Lord. Someone said of him, “If I could put a face to Jesus, it would be the face of Simone.” He was very active for his age, friendly, a real talker, and looked 20 years younger! Simon was an avid hobbyist since age 9 with building, designing, and flying R/C Model Airplanes, and continued his interest all his life. Credited with the introduction and teaching of over 1,000 students in Model Aviation, a Lifetime Member of Tucson TIMPA Flight Club, and Board Member and Safety Officer; also member of TRC Tucson R/C Club, and Willow Run R/C Club in Michigan.
