Obituary of Bruce Rush

Bruce W. (Scotty) Rush died of heart disease on April 25, 2011 at his home. He was 68 years old. He was born on December 22, 1942 in Philadelphia PA, the second of 4 children. As a teenager, his parents moved to California, where he graduated from Fullerton Union High School, and became an electrician. He married his high school sweetheart, and had two children, a son and daughter. He was married for over 20 years. He moved to Illinois in the 1970’s, raising his family and opened his own electrical contracting company. After many years in the Midwest, he moved to Sierra Vista Arizona. His two children lived with him there for a time. Then, he moved to Tucson Arizona where he lived the remainder of his lifetime. He had recently joined a small solar construction company, doing much of the estimating and bidding for the business. He mentored a young man, and worked closely with his nephew in the relatively new industry. He was excited about being involved in making this company a success and said he looked forward to going to work every day. He was also beginning to become active in the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, working unit #28; and he loved playing baseball on Sundays. Scotty is survived by his Daughter Dana and Son Craig, his Sister Sally, Sister Debbie and her husband Jack, his Nephew Jeff and Niece Kimberly, and Grandsons Dalton and Adam; and his many friends in the area in which he lived. He lived his life the way he wanted, and he will be missed and remembered.
