Obituary of Anna Balak

Anna Jean Balak passed away quietly on August 27, 2011 attended by her four sons. She was born in Mount Pleasant, PA in 1925, the daughter of William and Florence Mullen. She graduated from Seton Hill College and married David S. Balak after WWII. They moved to Tucson in 1950 and raised five sons, Stephen (deceased), William, Paul (Sheryl), Mark (Catherine), and David (Colleen). Anna Jean worked as a laboratory technologist for Saint Mary’s Hospital in Tucson until she retired. With David, she traveled and cruised the Caribbean and Panama Canal. She went rafting the Grand Canyon and journeyed to see the solar eclipse in Mexico with her friends. Mostly she enjoyed her time with her family and friends including her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
