Obituary of Carl Seeger

In loving memory of Major Carl Edwin Seeger, USAF (ret). Born in Bartlett, Iowa on September 15, 1935, died on March 5, 2012. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Paula Haynes Seeger; his daughters Rebecca Seeger of Flagstaff and Victoria Seeger of Tucson, and son James Seeger of Tucson; and his grandchildren Kristoffer Seeger, Tallon Seeger, and Xander Seeger. Preceeded in death by his father, Edwin Seeger; mother, Beulah Fulton Seeger; and brother, Randy Seeger. Carl grew up in Tabor, Iowa and attended Iowa State University before joining the U.S. Air Force. Carl served as a navigator and systems weapons officer and his decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement in Vietnam, the Airman’s Medal for heroism in Vietnam, five Air Medals, and the Meritorious Service Medal. He worked at La Paloma Country Club for many years before he retired a second time.
