Obituary of Mudiaga Mafemi

MUDIAGA MAFEMI December 23rd 1985 –May 22nd 2012 It comes with great sadness to share that our beloved Mudiaga Mafemi. Mudi passed away unexpectedly May 22nd 2012. So many lives will forever be changed. We know that Mudiaga will be our special Angel to watch over his family and friends. Mudi is survived by: His Wife Amanda (Olson) Mafemi, and their children Jaeden and Mylah Mafemi, Parents, Owen Mafemi and Lavera Gray, step mom, Theresa Mafemi, Brother, Onoerhime Mafemi, Step sisters: Kimberly and Lanisha Thomas, In Laws: Christopher and Dixie Olson, Brothers and Sister in law: Brandon, Noah, and Gabriela Olson, and multiple Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Mudi’s life was filled with the love of sports, family, laughter, friendships, faith, fatherhood, marriage, being a son, brother, brother in law, son in law, cousin, and best friend to so many who knew and loved him. God bless this precious heart who suffered at the end of his life, sorrow and hardships that would lead to his untimely death. We long to have our Mudi back to share in our life’s ups and downs. He always knew how to make us smile, or give us a hug to make us feel safe. He would never make you feel like you were a burden. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Mudi loved music, dancing, singing and playing the trumpet. His love of sports started at a young age when he began watching basketball and playing both football and basketball in high school. His favorite basketball team was the Boston Celtics. His favorite football team was the New York Giants. Mudi was the most handsome man I have met. He had a style for clothes and loved shoes and watches too. Even when he wasn’t dressed up he was put together. He loved to Iron and to take care of those he loved. We remember Mudi’s infectious smile, and silliness. He would give all he could for those who were struggling. Mudi played with his children, took them to the park, helped bath them, clean the house, do the laundry, and still find time to go spend time with his brother in law in the hospital who continues to battle Cystic Fibrosis. We remember fondly the games, and travel we were blessed to share with him. Our Family had a bond unlike many. We found comfort and strength in each other’s arms, through prayers, laughter even in the worst of times. We often shared at family meals; stories, and pictures to capture the moments. We never realized that over 1200 photos have been taken over the last 5 years to keep memories safe. Who would have known that they would need to be used so soon into our family union. We will be having two memorial services: The first memorial will be held in the chapel of Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd. Tucson, Arizona 85716, Saturday, June 2, 2012 viewing from 4:00pm-6:00pm and services from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
