Obituary of Derek Kern

Derek (Dirk) Michael Kern, of Tucson, AZ. Born February 17, 1955 in Melbourne, Fl., lost his 7 year battle with diabetes Thursday August 30, 2012. He spent his life in the home building, repair and improvement business after graduating from Salpointe Catholic High School. He loved the trades and working with his hands, and considered long time clients more as extended family. Derek was preceded in death by his Mother, Dorothy and Father, Frank Jr. whom he now joins in the next life to continue Gods journey. Derek is survived by his Finance Anne Marie Reitz, his Brother Frank William Kern III and Aunt and Uncle Judith and Robert Osborne. A Visitation will be at ANGEL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N Tucson Blvd, Tucson on Wednesday September 5, 2012 from 5 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 9:00 AM in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 N Camino Pio Decimo with concluding service and interment in Holy Hope Cemetery.
